Subject: Great show
As a jack johnson & matt costa's admirator, i can tell that this show is pretty good, except that i think Matt's not very "in the mood". I've seen him live in jack's concert, along with ALO, and he was more cheerful than he seems to be in this concert.
But still a great live show, i think Matt's music is really ths type of music that should be more known.

p.s: the 10th song named "?" is "these arms". It didn't figured on the original Songs we Sing record, it has been added just before the released date.

Subject: Pretty good recording
Pretty good recording for a large ampitheater show like Jack Johnson's summer tour demands. The instruments and vocals all show up really nice and clear. there is minor phasing (the taper probably moved his head a little) during some early songs. There is some girl talking prob ~ 10 feet away from the taper. She yaps for most, but not all, the show. But she's not loud / close enough to be distracting or annoying, you just hear her at times in the background. As far as the performance, the full band sounds great. Much tighter then when I saw one of the first full band shows at the Casbah in May 05 (A small club in san diego, ca). I'm glad Matt added drums and keys.. it really improves his live sound a lot. Cheers to him, and thanks to the taper for allowing this show to be streamable. A fun live set for sure!

Subject: Pretty Good...
I'm not all the way through listening yet, but I don't hear the same sound problems complained of in other Costa shows. I mean, it isn't soundboard, but you can't ask for a whole lot more... There's some annoying chicks that set up camp right by the recording, but what can you do? Costa's awesome.

Notes

Matts first time in Houston opening for Jack Johnson to a sold out show at Verizon Wireless Theater. ALO opened the show. All acts were taped. There are no other known sources for this show.

Flac's made from original recording sources. There are no known flaws in the master recording. Source was amplified 4.4db in Audacity and edited for length.
